Privacy Policy

This policy is provided by GYMENTA CODENCE LTD ("we", "our", "us"), the owner and developer of the AI Dream Diary application ("Dream Diary AI", "app", or "Service").
AI Dream Diary is a personal dream journaling app with optional AI image generation. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use our Service.
By using AI Dream Diary, you agree to the practices described in this policy. We will not use or share your information with anyone except as described here.

1. Information Collection and Use
To provide our Service, we may handle the following information:
  • Dream entries you create: titles, content, dates, moods, and tags — stored locally on your device
  • AI-generated images created from your dream descriptions — stored locally on your device
  • App preferences such as notification settings and AI consent — stored locally via UserDefaults
  • Purchase information processed by Apple when you buy generation credits

2. Information Storage
Dream Diary AI is designed with a local-first approach:
  • Local storage: All dream entries, images, and preferences are stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData and UserDefaults. We do not have access to this data.
  • AI image generation: When you request an AI image, your dream title and content are sent to our backend server solely to generate the image. The server does not store your dream content after the image is returned.
  • Purchase data: In-app purchase transactions are processed entirely by Apple. We receive only confirmation of the number of credits granted. We do not store payment details.

3. Device Permissions
Dream Diary AI may request the following permissions:
  • Notifications: Used to send optional daily dream reminder at a time you choose. This is entirely optional.
  • Microphone: Used only when you explicitly tap the microphone button to dictate a dream entry. Audio is never recorded in the background.
  • Speech Recognition: Used to convert your spoken words into text using Apple's on-device or cloud-based speech recognition. No audio data is stored or transmitted by us. When on-device recognition is available, your voice never leaves your iPhone.
All permissions can be managed through your device Settings at any time.

4. Third-Party Services
Our app uses the following third-party services:
  • Apple App Store: Processes all in-app purchases. Your payment details are handled exclusively by Apple.
  • Our AI backend server: Receives dream title and content only at the moment of image generation. No data is retained after the image URL is returned.

5. In-App Purchases
Dream Diary AI offers consumable in-app purchases (generation credits):
  • Payment is processed directly by Apple — we do not store your payment information
  • Credits are stored locally on your device
  • Consumable credits are not restorable by design (Apple policy for consumable IAP)
  • We do not collect or retain subscription or purchase history on our servers

6. Data Security
All data stored on your device is protected by iOS's built-in security mechanisms including device encryption. Our backend server uses HTTPS for all communications. However, no system can guarantee 100% security.

7. Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal data to third parties. Your dream content is never shared with or retained by our servers beyond the duration of an image generation request.

8. Your Rights
Since all your data is stored locally on your device, you have full control over it at all times. You can delete all data from within the app via Settings → Clear All Data. Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data.

9. Children's Privacy
Dream Diary AI is not intended for users under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected with an updated date at the top of this policy. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
